Philodendron spiritus-sancti is often referred to in English as the Holy Grail among Philodendrons. The elongated petiole and the long, strappy, leaves makes a brilliant looking houseplant, especially when grown in hanging baskets. This plant is critically endangered in its natural habitat; its place of discovery is from the Brazilian state of Espiritu Santo (Portuguese for Holy Spirit).

Care: Grows best climbing up a moss pole in bright, mostly indirect light. Dappled light or direct eastern light is also great. In general, Philodendrons are pretty laid back as long as they’re in a chunky soil that is allowed to mostly dry between waterings.
